MATTHEW D. GRAMLY

Mr. Gramly obtained a B.A. from The Ohio State University in 1995. He received a J.D. from Capital University Law School in 1999. Mr. Gramly was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1999 and to the California Bar in 2004. He is currently a member of the State Bar of California, the Bar Association of San Francisco and the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association.

Before relocating to California in 2003, Mr. Gramly’s practice in Ohio concentrated in the areas of family law, criminal defense, general business law and personal injury litigation. Since becoming licensed to practice in California, Mr. Gramly was employed as an associate with The Dolan Law Firm in San Francisco, practicing in the areas of civil litigation and personal injury matters. While with The Dolan Law Firm he participated in several mediations, arbitrations and trials, each of which produced successful results for the clients involved.

Prior to founding Rahman Gramly, LLP with Shaana Rahman, Mr. Gramly spent several years as an associate with Winter & Ross in San Francisco, working closely with senior partner Mindy Lauren Ross, one of the Bay Area’s most respected family law attorneys. While at Winter & Ross, Mr. Gramly participated in dissolution matters (marriages as well as domestic partnerships) involving significant assets, ranging from $1,000,000 to in excess of $250,000,000. Mr. Gramly litigated dozens of custody, child support, spousal support, dissolution and divorce matters while a solo practitioner in Ohio prior to moving to California. Mr. Gramly has also tried multiple criminal cases.

At Rahman Gramly, LLP, Mr. Gramly continues practicing family law, including dissolution of marriages and domestic partnerships, custody and visitation, child and spousal support and complex financial and property divisions. Mr. Gramly is also involved in litigating serious personal injuries involving bicycles, motorcycles, motor vehicles and public transportation. Working closely with Ms. Rahman, Mr. Gramly also litigates many cases against the City and County of San Francisco. Other areas of civil practice include general negligence, professional negligence, premises liability against individuals and public entities, wrongful death and matters related to the care of elderly and/or incapacitated individuals.
